The BMC-Etixx athlete broke away at the start of the bike to finish the race in 8:32:54, breaking both the overall course and the bike record. Jens Petersen-Bach (DEN; 8:36:44) and Roman Deisenhofer (GER; 8:40:45) crossed the line in 2nd and 3rd.
read more...Patrik Nilsson claims a fantastic 8th place finish at the Ironman World Championship in Kona. In his debut year, he finished the race in 8:18:21. His BMC-Etixx teammate Bart Aernouts crossed the line in 8:26:28 to secure 12th place after setting the 6th fastest run split of the day. Ronnie Schildknecht fought his way to 30th position in a time of 8:50:30.
