After a very successful start of the season, our team is ready for the championships. We will be widely present in the different championships. Starting this Sunday with the US Championships 5150 in Hyvee, where Helle Frederiksen and Liz Blatchford will fight for the title.

Sofie Goos 2nd in Ironman Copenhagen; Axel Zeebroek wins the International Triathlon of Weiswampach

Sofie Goos came second in today’s Ironman Copenhagen after the European Champion Ironman 70.3, Daniela Ryf. Clocking in at 09:06:08, Sofie followed on 12'35" of Daniela Ryf (SUI; 08:53:33). Mareen Hufe (GER; 09:25:18) ended third. While Sofie came 2nd in Copenhagen, her teammate Axel Zeebroek won the international Triathlon of Weiswampach (Olympic distance) on his home soil. A good week-end for the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team with 3 races and 3 podium places. Yesterday Ronnie Schildknecht finished 3rd in the Ironman 70.3 of Budapest.

Ronnie Schildknecht came third in today’s Ironman 70.3 Budapest. Clocking in at 03:51:2", 3'45" behind the winner Bruno Pais (POR), runner up Alberto Casadei (ITA) finished on 1'24" of Pais.

European Championship 70.3 Bart Aernouts wins Ironman 70.3 Wiesbaden, Ronnie Schildknecht 7th & Liz Blatchford 5th.

It’s another great Sunday for the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team. Bart Aernouts won his first European Championship Ironman 70.3 today in Wiesbaden. His team mate Ronnie Schildknecht finished 7th. In a very strong female field, Liz Blatchford took 5th.

Will Clarke came 2nd in Ironman 70.3 Calgary. Will (03:44:19) finished just 36 seconds behind Andy Potts (3:43:43). Brandon Marsh (03:47:32) completed the podium.

Axel Zeebroek 4th in Ironman UK; Dirk Bockel 6th in Challenge Roth & Helle Frederiksen 2nd in Ironman 70.3 Racine

Axel Zeebroek of the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team finished fourth in the Ironman UK with a time of 8:53:37. Viennot Cyril (FRA) took the title with a time of 08:44:10, Skipper Joe (GBR; 08:48:12) and Kotsegarov Kirill (EST; 08:53:37) completed the podium. His Uplace-BMC teammate Dirk Bockel participated in Challenge Roth (GER) where he became 6th. In the half-triathlon distance the third Uplace-BMC triathlete in action today, Helle Frederiksen, became 2nd in the Ironman 70.3 Racine (USA).

Helle Frederiksen wins Boulder Peak Triathlon (Olympic distance, 5150 series)

Helle Frederiksen of the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team has won today’s Boulder Peak triathlon (Colrado, US). The Boulder Peak Triathlon is her preparation race for IM Racine 70.3 (Wisconsin, US) coming up next Sunday. Helle Frederiksen edged out Radka Vodičková (Czech) and Lauren Goss (USA) for the win in Boulder. Helle's Uplace-BMC team mate Will Clarke participated yesterday in the Jenson Button Trust Triathlon. Will won this sprint triathlon that was organized to raise awareness and money for charity (the Cancer Research UK).

Corinne Abraham European Champion in Ironman Frankfurt Germany; Ronnie Schildknecht 4th

Corinne Abraham has won today’s Ironman Germany, which is also the European Championship. It is her second full Ironman victory after her last year's win in Melbourne. Clocking in at 08:52:40, Corinne Abraham edged out comfortably Liz Lyles (USA; 08:56:36) and Gina Crawford (New Zealand; 08:58:06) for the win in Frankfurt. While Corinne celebrated her win, Ronnie Schildknecht finished fourth in an impressive field.

Bart Aernouts wins IM France; Sofie Goos 4th in IM Austria

Bart Aernouts has won the 2014 Ironman France. It is the first full Ironman victory for the seven-time half distance winner. Clocking in at 8:33:22, Bart Aernouts edged out Victor Del Corral (Spain; 08:37:23) and Tyler Butterfield (Bermuda; 08:40:56) for the win in Nice. While Bart celebrated his win in France, his teammate Sofie Goos finished fourth in the Ironman Austria.

Axel Zeebroek and Romain Guillaume have finished third and fifth respectively in today’s Ironman 70.3 Luxembourg. Marino Vanhoenacker (Belgium; 03:47:47) took the win. Nils Frommhold (Germany; 03:49:05) came in second.
